Frequently Asked Questions
What is a C.O.D. Company?
It is a company that requires payment in full upon each delivery. Although C.O.D. generally means Cash on Delivery, we also accept money orders, bank certified checks, MasterCard, Visa and Discover Card.
There are NO extra fees involved for using a credit or debit card.
Do you have lock-ins, budgets, pre-buys or contracts? We do not offer these types of plans because our price fluctuates with the market price on a daily basis. We quote daily and quote for the next day. In the winter season we deliver 6 days a week to most towns.
Is there a minimum amount of oil I have to purchase? Our minimum is 100 gallons to all areas we cover. We continue to discount as you purchase more.
Do you offer quantity discounts?Yes, our quantity discount starts when a customer purchases 300 gallons or more. Please contact our office for quotes on any quantity discounts.
Do you have service contracts?Currently we offer a 24/7 Full Service Company to assist our customers. At this time they are considered an "On-Call" Service company. You would call to schedule a service or repair and pay upon completion. If you have any questions, please call our service department at 203-239-2226.
What is the policy for emergency deliveries?
We do make emergencies deliveries Monday thru Saturday in the winter season. They will be taken at the discretion and availability of Pay-Less Oil. Most emergencies will be accommodated at the end of our normal scheduled day. The fee for this emergency service is $35 before 5PM and $50 after regular business hours.
Although we cannot provide you with an exact time, we will only take the delivery if we can guarantee that the delivery will be made that day. The minimum delivery is 150 gallons + the emergency charge. We prefer MC / Visa for an emergency delivery and the minimum charge is payable upon guarantee of that delivery. Holiday delivery fees are quoted upon request.
We do take all CT State Assistance and/or Energy Programs. Please visit the Department of Social Services Website: http://ct.gov/dss/ for the energy brochure and contact information. To see qualifications, please visit http://www.ct.gov/dss/cwp/
